Super Spider

A friend of mine and I sat in a fancy restaurant in the sky.  It was our first visit.  We witnessed things.  The kind, at least, observed by measuring great height.

She and I sat at a table for two -- window walls, the lake, everything (buildings) between, the sunset, approaching storm spreading itself up and out.  through. thin. and the spiders.  Flying above, there, those clouds.

So high.

The spiders rolled and flew.  Black balls of armour, canon(esses), little things. They nestle, now, into the webs, blow from side to side.  And in the highest corner, where clouds looked a distance below, life continued to exist.

So we named her Earlene.  The female version of Earl.
The name that had been given
--to all other spiders, at least, well,
until...

in the world.

When Earlene came uncovered, it was the wind allowing for a reprieve.
She moved slowly across her web. Legs extended, her back too-- molding into a shield.
     Woosh.
She was a powerful little thing.

econosource copy box

The original title of my blog was going to be econosource, but someone already laid claim to it.

What the fuck.

We've got a lot of office folk -- lots of people who probably use econosource copy paper.
The people who work at the offices and copy things,
the people who don't work at offices who copy things, and
the people who get fired from their office job, copying things, and are given an econosource box as compensation.

And there it sits. One red and white box, type along the side, next to my bed.

TV rests on top.
